DDI products are available with Matrix and Steel body materials, depending on the application.

STORM® (Matrix body PDC bits) - Water well, Geothermal, Mining, Shallow Oil & Gas drill bits.
These bits are manufactured with a cast bit body of Proprietary tungsten carbide matrix powder bonded with a copper-nickel alloy binder using the quality control standards. This process ensures STORM® DDI matrix body bits are built to last with outstanding abrasion resistance combined with high strength. This combination makes these bits ideal for general purpose through the hard and abrasive applications and extends PDC bit limits into more variable geologically demanding applications. That gives Customer a chance to reuse the bit to drill more wells and save more funds. PDC Cutting arrangement gives Bit better stability, ROP and durability.

CYCLONE® (Steel body PDC bits) - Oil & Gas drill bits
The CYCLONE® bit body is a premium alloy steel for strength and toughness. Hard facing is applied in critical areas to prolong bit life. Because of the material characteristics, DDI steel body bits have higher blade standoff and larger junk slot areas than equivalent matrix designs. This makes them capable of delivering very high ROP in soft, nonabrasive or hydraulically challenged applications. These bits use a specially tested combination of geometry profiles and materials to provide customers with the most economical and efficient option to drill their wells.

TORNADO® (Matrix body PDC bits) - Oil & Gas drill bits
The TORNADO® product line of fixed cutter PDC bits accumulates the successful production experience of our designing and engineering team. These bits are manufactured with a cast bit body of proprietary tungsten carbide matrix powder bonded with a copper-nickel alloy binder using the highest quality control standards.
